Recent Work

As an experimental artist, I continue to explore new ideas on how to express myself artistically. Recently I am working a series I call "Reimagined/Repurposed Art ". I have reassessed my work from 2+ years ago and found many lacking given my current artistic values. I have used these works as a starting point for the creation of new work. I use opaque pigments to obscure and transparent pigments to enhance. These are new works and not evolutions or enhancements of the old work. Most are abstract, but in many cases offer hints of a reality depending on the observers eye and experience.

Abstract Portfolio

These are efforts at pure abstraction - maybe with a hint of landscape

Collage Portfolio

These works use a less than successful watercolor painting as a substrate and as collage material, along with fabric and other misc. material - and sometimes added painting as a last step.

More traditional landscapes pushed towards abstraction in the use of color, texture and design.
